Finaly i get to an end with this work ( hope at least ) .
When i started i had no idea what i want to do , i just knew that i want to combine 2D with 3D . And here it is . The front is 3D except girls hair , modeled in blender , textured in gimp .
About girls hair i chosed to paint it cause i was not able to get some good results using blender hair.
The background is some kind of matte painting.
The compositing made with photoshop.

Work time : I think more than 50 hours.

Any crits and pieces of advice are most welcomed .
Thank you for viewing.

In my opinion this is the most complex work i've done so far. I used mainly matte painting with about 10-15 photos of reference, 3d modeling for the 3d castle thing in the background and painting the lady.
Also to place the castle in the right position and perspective i had to do a basic cammera mapping.
The original ressolution was 4k but i resized for detail at 2k.
I used GIMP mostly and Blender for the 3d parts ,and spent about 25-30 hours.
Thanks for viewing and for any comment!!!

It's a matte painting made with GIMP , using a Trust tablet . I used real pictures from the web for the right side of the image and the rest was painted using samples. The buildings are selected from two photos and repainted to match the ilumination and atmosphere. Thank you for viewing.
